ORDINANCE No. 79

Base of Grades

           AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH BASE OF GRADES IN THE CITY OF JUNCTION CITY.

           The city of Junction City does ordain as follows:

           Section 1.   Base of Grades.   That sea level or mean low tide of the Pacific Ocean be and the same is hereby adopted as the base of city grades for the city of Junction City.

           Section 2.   Base Mark.   That there be and is hereby established a bench mark referred to the aforementioned datum plane (or sea level) on the top of ana at the center of the iron bed plate on the north stde of the column at the entrance to the I.O.O.F. Building on Sixth Avenue; said building being at the southeast corner of Sixth Avenue and Green wood Street; said bench mark having an elevation of 324.50 (feet), which elevation is the highest above sea level herein before referred to.

           Passed by the council March 10, 1913, and approved by the mayor March 18, 1913.
