The library is open for reference, circulation, Internet access and browsing.
The library has books, magazines, videos and a few DVDs that may be checked out.
Interlibrary loans may be requested.
From now until the end of December 2005, households outside of the city limits, and within the school district

the Lane Library League, in order to promote the formation of a library district, which would serve this geographic area.

Children’s Services
There is a pre-school story time on Tuesdays from 11:15 until 11:45 throughout the year.
The library promotes reading to school-aged children during the summer with the
Summer Reading Program. There is an incentive for each child who reads a dozen books. During the month of July, on
Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m., there is an hour of entertainment designed to encourage children to come to the library.
Computer Services
The library has four public Internet access stations, which were a gift from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in
September 2002. Three stations may be reserved for an hour at a time, and the fourth station is a drop-in 15 minute
station. Reservations can be made ahead of time by calling 998-8942. Stations can be programmed for Spanish speaking,
large print or children’s use, i.e., without Internet access, but remain for general use unless otherwise requested.
